Finding the Magical Quill: Registering for Pottermore Early Access {SPOILERS}

As many of you know, I was not able to answer the first clue early yesterday morning, rather I set the alarm clock and was lucky enough to wake up at 5:30 to get in this morning. Thus, I took pictures of the whole process so I could share with you all. It really is very neat to see all of the artwork and web design that has gone into all of this, even if it is just a sign up page.

WARNING: If you have already signed up, use this article to look back at all the neat artork/designs, but if you have yet to register, you may find this to be a spoiler and may rather discover the process on your own to be more excited!

After I wake up to an alarm clock next to my bed as well as an alarm that is going off on my iPod Touch, I rushed over to my laptop, which I conveniently left in sleep mode so I could have Google Chrome running instantly, I already had the Pottermore page loaded, so I refreshed, and saw the clue! I hadn't seen the note that I had to multiply the answer so, when I entered 14, I was taken to the 15 second countdown page. Then I realized I had to multiply that answer, did so, and was taken to the Warner Brothers page. I saw a picture of the Magical Quill, clicked on it, and up came a neat animation with the quill floating around.

Then it redirected me to a congratulations page teling me that I had found the Magical Quill. Yay! I clicked on the register button, and completed the 5 sections as shown below.

Then it told me I was magical and put my nam next to a whole list of Hogwarts students. I clicked continue, and...

This is the fun part! I got to chose one of five usernames. The first four are decent, I would have chosen SunSkull192 or HowlBlood35, but the fifth made my day. I was hoping for an epic username, and I think AccioFirebolt62 is perfect. (Accio = awesome spell) + (Firebolt = fastest broom) = I am very happy. The only thing I could have asked more would be that the number at the end of the username would have been 7, because that's the magical number. Anyway, I entered a Captcha, and clicked continue.

I confirmed my username....

and then it told me to check my email inbox. This is where I thought I would have to wait long to recieve the email, after hearing many people with that problem yesterday. To my surprise, the email came within 5 minutes! I took out the link for security reasons, but I clicked on it, and I was taken to a Pottermore Login page...

So I entered my password. I never knew that we were going to have the ability to login. i thought we would have to wait until we got our welcome letters. Notice how the beautiful background artwork depicts Little Whinging during the daytime.

Once you are let in, you are given access to a single page with a little bit of info. This was my favorite part, because the background illustration changed to nighttime and I was so excited when I saw Professor McGonogall's hat. It really started to make me feel like I was reading the first book for the first time. You can also see an owl flying overhead on the right side next to the lamp post!
 Magic.
